The YMJA has volunteer representatives for each region of the country. Reps act as liaisons for their regions and participate in a year-long leadership development program. In addition, each rep serves at his or her regional youth-only retreat.
Hi Everyone! I’m Leilani! I’m 17 years old and the oldest of four siblings. I attend Congregation Baruch Hashem in Phoenix, where I currently volunteer in the nursery. I’ve been a Messianic believer since age 11 and really feel that my relationship with Yeshua has grown tremendously. Since then, the YMJA has always had a place in my heart and I am honored to serve as regional representative this year. I’m excited to see what Yeshua has in store. In my free time I like to crochet, paint, embroider and… pretty much anything crafty. This summer I had the amazing opportunity to visit Israel and discovered I have a love for travel. I also LOVE to listen to music and sign to it. I hope to become a sign language interpreter after I graduate. I am praying for this retreat and can’t wait to meet all of you and see what Yeshua has in store!
Hey, I'm Danielle. I live in Fairfield, Ohio and go to Beth Messiah in Cincinnati where I have been since I was born. My favorite food is sushi and my favorite color is yellow (mustard yellow, not brighter shades). I'm 17 years old and am a senior in high school right now (Go Indians!). My favorite season is autumn because it makes me feel like I'm in an early 2000s movie every time I step outside. I enjoy puns and dancing. With the experience of the Regional Representative Program I plan to build a stronger bond with the Lord and be able to help others in the future.
Hey! My name is Allasan Hale and I couldn’t be any more excited to be a regional representative for this upcoming year! I live in Duncanville Texas, and attend Bat Zion Messianic Congregation. I am a co-youth leader and help out in the sound booth every Shabbat. I’m currently in my last year at Duncanville High School, finally! I’m not very involved in my school but I am in band and I am also a part of the team for Tabernacle; which is a student lead bible study and worship program, both of which I love! Band is a passion of mine and leading and praying for people is my calling. I discovered my calling through the YMJA as a matter of fact, which is why I’m super excited to be a regional representative. My main goals this year is to reach out and connect with the young people of South Central to make them feel more a part of the YMJA family in the most creative ways I can. A lot of people have trouble coming out of their shell and I want to help them and encourage them to strengthen their relationship with God. I want to help these young people and others to become FEARLESS.
Hello everyone! My name is Alli. I am a freshman at Lamar University. I am studying to be a math teacher for deaf kids. I really feel that God has called me to be a regional representative this year and I am extremely excited to see what He has in store! Remnant of Israel is my home congregation, where my grandpa was the rabbi before he retired. My college is in an area where there is no Messianic synagogue, but I am surrounding myself with other believers to encourage me in my walk with God, live-streaming Messianic services and have an amazing Messianic mentor through the YMJA Freshmen Mentorship Program. God is the number one priority in my life and I do not know what I would do without Him. I look forward to getting to know you all and I pray God does wondrous things in your lives! The YMJA has a very special place in my heart, ever since my first retreat God has used this organization to help me on my walk with Him and I am honored for this chance to serve in this special way.
Hello, my name is Stephen Harper and I’m from Dallas Texas. I am very excited to be a regional representative this year! I attend Baruch HaShem in Dallas and I have been going for around 13 years. I serve on our worship team and in our youth ministry. I currently am in my second year of college studying music, specifically jazz. Aside from music I love sports (especially soccer), books, movies, politics, researching random facts and hanging out with family and friends. My hope as a regional representative is to help the YMJA build up Messianic youth to be strong men and women of God. The YMJA has helped change my life in many ways and I would love to help impact someone else’s life. I can’t wait to see what happens this year in South Central!
Hey guys! My name is Sunday and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas! I've gone to Baruch HaShem since I was a toddler and ever since I was 13 years old I started attending the YMJA South-Central retreats. I turn 16 in January, I have two older brothers and love spending time with my friends. I'm so so passionate about people and helping others, I love getting know everyone and making connections! I'm normally the really loud one in a crowd, but also always willing to step aside and talk with a friend at any time, even if it's 3am. I've always loved music and it's been such a great outlet in so many ways for me. I do a lot of things tech-wise and have actually helped a lot with that for the YMJA. G-d has done so many amazing things in my life and even throughout the struggles and times when it feels hopeless, He's always been there. Due to that, I'd love to give back and show others His love in any way possible. When I say I'm here, I really mean it. I want to get to know all of you guys, so please don't be shy, talk to me whenever! I can't wait to see all the amazing things that will happen in this upcoming season, and I hope y'all are just as excited as I am.
Hi! My name is Eliana Caracelo, but everyone calls me Ellie. I attend Keren Ohr Messianic Synagogue in Savannah, GA where my Dad and Mom are the Rabbi and Rebbitzen. Our family is a large one - I am the second oldest out of six kids, three of which (including myself) are in the YMJA. I have a lot of hobbies, including art, playing piano, acting, Davidic dancing, Irish Step Dancing, and reading (especially Shakespeare!). Since I attend an online school, I have a lot of free time. Most of my free time I spend enjoying my hobbies as well as learning French and Hebrew. As a regional representative, I want to encourage other young Messianic individuals in their walk with the Lord. I also hope to grow in my own faith and learn to seek God's presence daily.
Hello, my name is Jacob Dunkley. I wanted to be a regional representative because I really wanted to take part and serve in the YMJA. If I can manage to do either of these things I will be happy. I am originally from Jamaica and currently live in Marietta, Georgia and attend Congregation Beth Hallel. I am currently an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State University with hopes to become a doctor one day. I am interested in music, art, medicine, and discussion. My hobbies include playing saxophone, writing, and studying. The Lord has changed my life and I am excited to see what G-d has in store for us in 2018.
Hey! My name is Javier (Javy) Cummings. I was born and raised in Georgia and have never lived anywhere else. I have 2 beautiful sisters, Myka and Jennifer, and 2 lovely parents. I attend Congregation Beth Hallel, where my family and I have attended since 2007. I currently study at the University of North Georgia towards becoming a nurse. Although I am in school, I am also in the process of joining the Air Force. In the meantime, I work as a waiter at Cracker Barrel. In my free time, I play guitar and attend my youth group. Serving the youth of the YMJA is what I've wanted to do since I attended my first conference. Serving youth is my passion and I want nothing but to do just that. I plan on getting to know each and every single one of you in the southeast!
Hello, my name is Rachel Stepakoff and I am super excited to be a part of the 2017/18 regional representative team. I live in Palm Harbor Florida which is only about 30 minutes from the Tampa Bay area. I have 3 others siblings that some of you may know: Ruthie, David, and Joey. I also have a really cute dog named Skippy. My dad is a Rabbi at Temple New Jerusalem. I’m currently in 10th grade where I attend East Lake High School. I am enrolled in the musical theatre and the chorus program. In being a regional representative, I hope that I will be able to strengthen my relationship with the Lord, furthermore my walk with God, encourage others with their relationship with God and of course have lots of fun along the way. I will be keeping the Southeast region in my prayers.
Hey YMJA!! I'm Abigail, but I go by Abby as well. I'm 15 years old, and have been attending congregation Shuvah Yisrael for the past ten years. I have lived in New York all my life and feel really blessed to have grown up immersed in the Messianic community. I have an amazing group of family and friends, including my older sister, who was also a Regional Representative! Much of my time is spent on my schoolwork... I tend to be a bit of an overachiever. Outside of school I am really involved with the robotics team, as I am fascinated by all things science/engineering. I speak Spanish fluently and love to apply the language to my daily life. I believe that the Lord's power is one that transcends all languages, and I even sometimes read scripture in Spanish. While our lives are filled with pain and unpredictability, I know that God is our only constant and will support us through all trials we face. That being said, we all go through rough patches. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 reminds us to “encourage one another and build each other up.” With this verse in mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or another representative! I will always be happy to come together and pray, talk, and then pray some more. :) I'm so excited to witness what God has in store for each of us this year!!
Hello!! My name is Liron Sinn and I appreciate being part of the Regional Representative team this year. I’m 16 and live in Wading River, NY and attend Shuvah Yisrael. I've been a Messianic believer all my life and I’m so grateful for this blessing. I was born in Germany but I didn't live long there, so I know a few German words here and there. I'm currently in my junior year of high school, and my favorite subject is history. I love to learn about different civilizations and cultures. I am good with a pencil and paintbrush, I'm constantly doodling! I spend most of my time either studying or watching Gilmore Girls and drinking endless amounts of coffee :) I am so excited for this year and cannot wait to see how God will change my life!! I love the YMJA and will continue to take part in all of their amazing programs. I am always available if you need to talk, text, or a prayer. Can't wait to see you at the Northeast Retreat!!♡
